COVID-19 Announcement - Office is now open
Office hours are by appointment on Tuesdays from 800 AM to 1230 PM and Fridays from 800 AM to 1230 PM, with the last appointment at 1200 Noon. GI endoscopic procedures will be done first and third Monday mornings of each month. The receptionist will be in the office every Monday from 830 AM to 330 PM.
Due to the Covid pandemic, your safety, and the safety of our other patients and staff, is of paramount importance.
In the event of a medical emergency or urgent medical situation, please do NOT attempt to contact the doctor by email or on this website, but do call the office at 212-737-9736. If after regular office hours, please ask the receptionist to page the doctor immediately.
Please note that the doctor does not prescribe or renew controlled substances without an in-person office visit. It is also not our policy to prescribe empiric antibiotics over the phone, without an in-person office visit to confirm the need for antibiotic therapy. If you have a condition that you think may require antibiotics during times that the office is closed, please go to the nearest Urgent Care Center immediately, and make an appointment to see the doctor at the next open time slot on this website.
No walk-in visits will be permitted without an appointment, and a Covid-screening interview in advance.
At the time you make the appointment, and when you arrive, you will be questioned about possible Covid-related symptoms. If you have any such symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or diarrhea within the past two weeks, or if you have had contact with a Covid-positive or possible Covid patient, you will not be given an appointment, and will have to speak with the doctor on the phone.
If you have a test pending for Covid, please do not make an appointment until you have a final report that is negative.
Face masks are mandatory at all times, and your temperature will be checked at the door by thermal scan before you are allowed to enter. Anyone with a fever at the time of scanning will not be permitted entry to the office.
In order to maintain proper social distancing, you will be asked to arrive for your appointment alone. If an escort is required to assist you, your escort will be required to wear a mask and pass all Covid-related screenings before being admitted to the office.
Appointments will continue to be scheduled every half-hour, but in order to maintain proper social distancing, you will be required to arrive for your appointment on time. If you arrive early, you may be asked to wait outside, and not be admitted to the office until it is your time to be seen, in order to minimize the number of patients in the office at the same time. Patients who arrive late may not be seen, and may be asked to reschedule their appointments.
Elective screening endoscopies and colonoscopies may now be scheduled. All procedures will require COVID pre-testing by swab, and all patients scheduled for procedures must test negative for the virus within 5 days of the scheduled procedure.
NEW PATIENTS should click on Patient Portal, then click on Patient Forms, and print out the Patient Information Forms and HIPAA Private Notice. These should be filled out completely, in advance of your visit, and brought with you at the time of your initial visit. This will facilitate your visit and help maintain social distancing.
